Introduction
The Plymouth IVC is a club that aims to provide social, cultural and other activities for its members living in Devon and Cornwall.

Who We Are
Plymouth IVC is a club that aims to provide social, cultural and other activities for past students and others of like interests living in Devon and Cornwall. Plymouth IVC belongs to the Association of IVCs (AIVC), and offers reciprocal arrangements for members of other IVCs.
The club does not hold or express any political, religious or racial opinions, nor shall it be associated with any organisation which holds such opinions.
What Data Do We Collect?
We collect personal data when you become a member of Plymouth IVC, when you respond to emails, pay your subscription or otherwise provide us with your personal details.
We do not collect sensitive personal data, including, but not limited to, your religious or political beliefs, or your personal or mental health.
What Do We Do With It?
We may use the personal data we collect:-
- To keep you up to date on club and local events, AIVC events and those of its constituent members
- To provide news about club members
- For club administration purposes
- To invite you to renew your annual membership and to process your subscription
- Still and moving images of club activities may be used for publicity on our website to attract new members

You can request to see what personal data the club holds about you, and you can ask at any time for your data not to be used by us for any of these purposes, by contacting a committee officer by telephone, post or email.

How long?
We will keep your personal data for as long as you continue to be a member of the club and for one calendar year thereafter.

We store personal data on password-controlled website pages. Members have access to basic data only, and committee members only have access to additional data, including subscription details.
We do not share personal data with any outside third parties.

We use a European based system to store personal data on our website, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is stored and processed securely. By submitting your personal data to us, you agree to this storage and processing of your data.
When We Share Your Information
We may share your basic personal data with members of the club to facilitate the organisation of events.
We do not share personal data with any outside third parties.

You have the right to request details of the personal data we hold about you. You can do this by contacting a committee officer by telephone, post or email and we shall respond within 30 days.
Changes to IVC’s Privacy Policy
This policy was written in March 2018. We may amend this policy from time to time to take account of changes to our processes or changes to data protection or other legislation. If we make any significant changes, we shall show these clearly on our website, announce these at the next Annual General Meeting or write to you directly.
